While getting ready for the Black Gold party a strom was coming through the area. I have planned the party to be outside. So as I was moving things inside we lost power. Hmmm now what? After about an hour with out any lights and only an hour before guest are to show up the power comes back on and the strom moves out of the area. So I go back to the orginal plan of having the party in the back yard. The only thing I really had to change was the food we ended up having pizza instead of the food I was going to make. It was a fun watching tv on the patio with a fire going. We are planning on doing it agian this week. Also after the show we had a texas hold em tourny which as of now any way is also going to be a weekly event. I like to thank  Tru Tv for allowing me to introduce my friends to Black Gold and giving me a reason to throw a party.

Everyone at my party had a great time!  Served Root Beer and Ginger Ale in the glasses (going for the black and gold idea).  Made dips for snacking and italian beef for sandwiches.  The guests loved their t-shirts and coasters.  I made a cake and used a couple of the M&M's packs to decorate it.  Had the rest of the M&M's packs around the cake for guests.  We watched the show and it was a mixed reaction.  Some of it seemed too choreographed.   However, we all said these guys work hard!  Most of the guests said they would watch the show again.  Oh, several said that deadliest catch was better.  My guests all wanted to know when I would get to have another party!!!

The house was decorated in black and gold -- from ideas from here I purchased the gold chocolate coins to add to the mix.  The shirts were rolled up and I had the trivia game, and the "Six Tips to Save You Money at the Pump" rolled inside.  I also printed the Black Gold Glossary and had a few copies for quests to review (if needed).  We played the trivia game prior to the show and discussed the money saving tips.  Food Served were wings (hot and mild), taco dip and chips, the black and gold m&m's and I made cupcakes - yellow cake with chocolate icing.  Everyone that came (7 showed up) had a great time.  Party and show were a big success!

I have a couple of ladies who do not want their pictures to be online and there kids either. Do I photo crop them out our what do i do? Is anyone else having this problem!! Had I known they were going to be so high maintence I wouldn't have invited them. They came with a friend that I invited.

We had a spectacular time watching the show, really was a great show.  Unfortunately my camera had a malfuction and I am unable to get my pictures off it.  I'm not even sure they are still there.  If and when I can I will post...  Thanks again for the excellent party pack, enjoyed by all.

HAVE OTHERS HAD PROBLEMS WITH NOT HAVING PROPER SIZES OF T SHIRTS FOR PARTY GUEST? I FEEL SO BAD WHEN A LARGER PARTY GUEST CAN'T FIT IN A T SHIRT THEY GET LEFT OUT DUE TO THEIR SIZE. I FEEL LIKE I AM DISCRIMINATING AGAINST THEM DUE TO THEIR SIZE. HOW BOUT WE ALL ASK FOR FOR SOME SMALLS AND SOME XXL & XXXL  T SHIRTS FOR THE BIGGER OR SMALLER PARTY GUEST.

I HATE TO BE PICKY, BUT I HATE TO MAKE THE PARTY GUEST FEEL UNCOMFORTABLE AT THE PARTIES. 

BETTER YET MAYBE THE COMPANIES CAN OFFER SEVERAL SIZES THAT WE CAN REQUEST PRIOR TO THE PARTY, OR SEND OUT SIZE QUESTIONARE WITH THE EVITES.

WHO KNOWS? ANY OTHER IDEAS? PLEASE SHARE.

I am a reality t.v. junkie! I liked the show last night and realized those boys on the rig ain't  no joke! I just wish I knew what they were doing on the rig a little better!
