had my party..this was the first time for me to have a house party and I did it togethere with a baby shower playdate..I run a mommy playgroup....and at first the moms were semi interested..but let me tell you demonstrations are the best....once I showed them how easy it was and how they can help thier environment by using the same bottle and recycling the little bottle, they were sold! I think I am ready to do a house party on my own without help of an extra activity....and what was really cool..is that i used the window cleaner to clean my home before guests arrived and they loved the scent!..they could not believe window cleaner could smell like that. I've been raving about microfiber towels and now my mommy's can really see the diffrence this towel will make! Another cool thing was one of my mommies used to work for Arm n Hammer before she became a mommy and she was there to back me up on how great Arm n Hammer is. Thank you for letting me have the opportunity to do this...and whoever invented house party.....great marketing tool....I am sure you are sittin' high on the hog! Great idea and thanks again!

I'm planning to:
- use cloth napkins, tablecloth made of felt, my usual cups, plates and dishes
- take the boxes we got the goodies in and paint them green (with poster paint). Might buy some fake vines and use those.
- use soy candles
- introduce echoage (www.echoage.com), which is a great idea for kids' birthday parties
- give a Go Green quiz; whoever gets the most questions right gets a plant which I'm using as decorations
- have the guests come up with ideas for going green. Again, the one with the best idea gets a plant
- use veggies and fruits with dips as the food and check out Trader Joe's
- press the fall leaves in wax paper and use as decorations
- if I have time, make kids' crafts out of the boxes (I found some ideas online)
- have a book swap, toy swap, re-gift swap, clothing swap (kids or adults)... haven't decided which one yet...
- I'd love to know if anyone has any other ideas. I hate when guests are bored at a party!
