To make sure your party day is all about fun, take a moment now to finalize party plans.
- Pick up an extra bag of ice
- Charge your camera batteries (and be sure to take lots of party pictures and upload them to your party site)
- Clean and decorate your house – naturally, of course
- Plan your activities and games and be sure to download from Party Favors.
- Ask your guests to help
- Have coupons on hand to share with your guests
What last minute tips do you have for your fellow hosts?
Guests – what can you bring to add more fun to the party? Share your ideas, too!

Still no package here! This has been the worst houseparty goof up ever! They won't even reply to an email. How very sad it is.

I think I had everything. I would have more food next time though. I didnt realize quite so many people would accualy come. I only had one family that didnt make it and other people brought friends too! I was expecting 10-15 and by the end we rounded out at about 22. Yeah Green! I think this was a great party. The topic was fun and realy got people talking about how easy it can be to live greener. Plus I used the quiz out of the party favors and some info I got from another site on plants and how they can absorb house hold toxins! Good stuff! Thanks everyone!

Oops...forgot to get extra batteries. The first few pictures I made were good, but the last few had a yellow tinge to them because my low battery light was on. Next time, I will remember.

I felt guilty about wanting to reschedule my party for next week after not receiving
my package yet, but after reading everyone else's posts, I guess I shouldn't.
Hopefully, it will show up after the weekend.

Grrr, still no package! We had a fun get together. I Did Not feature a specific product though. We shared ideas on making homemade cleaners and different ways to help the environment. We love to be "green" at our house!

I never received my package so when it does show up, I'll probably just have a ghost type party. I'll try to have one, but not sure if I can swing it now.

My tip is to enlist your kids in planning. Make the little tasks you need done a fun game. It will save you a lot of time.

I never received my package either - very disappointing. Especially after spending a bunch of money, inviting people, etc. I emailed them that I did not get my package and never got a reply either. This has left a bad taste for me as far as these parties go.

Well, I waited and nothing came. I was actually really excited about this one. It would have been my first adult party so to speak. I have done the ben10 , and cartoon network sort of parties, but nothing that was really focused on a grown up type of group. We always put a lot of time and energy into our parties and I am so dissapointed with this one. I will still apply, and I do so hope that HP is reading these posts. I emailed them to let them know nothing came, but never heard a word back. I think that is most frustrating. They don't seem to care. I do not do these parties for the free stuff. I haven't ever gotten one that was so fabulous that I reaped any rewards by getting the item. A dvd of a cartoon that is going to be on tv isn't a woowoo freebie. I spent a LOT of money on this one already and will be darned if I am going to buy the product. I just discussed this with my husband and he agrees. I do feel it was a scam by the sponsor, not HP. However if HP knew it was going to be like this they should have only accepted those that had a product to work with. Not to mention, this is the time of year you cut all your plants and such back. We cannot plant seeds this time of year where I live. I do hope I qualify for another party in the future and that it is more organized than this one. I do hope this is not a sign of how future parties are going to be done. Those of you who recieved a party pkg. hope your party is great. We will be sitting here with nothing to do this Saturday, which ticks me off. we could have made other plans for the weekend and gone out rather than spend 175.00 on a party we won't be having.

Hi all,
Hope all of you who are having the party have a wonderful party.
Yes, I too here in WA have not received a host pack and my party is about 4 hours away. Even though it was supposed to just be seeds and coupons, I assume the coupons would have been good ones and probably at least little booklets on Green Works products, who knows, but it still would have been nice to have gotten something. My 2 other parties were large ones Bliss we had 62 people and 38 for SC Johnson, this party was supposed to be 32-38 with invited people and their guests, but about half of the guests have canceled because of all that has gone one with this party (they said it is their way boycotting the sponsors) they also felt I should canceled my party, but I am going to still have it, only on a much smaller scale. After all I had already purchased the food, table scapes, planted 3 more trees in our yard, plus I made soy candles for my guests and yesterday I purchased seed packs from home depot as well as CFL's (they were on sale because our utility company is sponsoring some sort of sale on them), even though I usually purchase sponsor's products for my parties as well, this time I just couldn't bring myself to do so. I never did get anything as far as a response from HP regarding this, not even a were are "sorry for this" kind of email, so I am not sure they even care. Oh, well.....
We still love ya HP, we really enjoy having the parties, but we are also very shocked and dissappointed over this one.
Party on and Party Green!
Take care and have an awesome day,
E

Perhaps this is a test to see who throws a party without any support and all others gone like "Cleaning out the house" without any cleaning products
Just kidding!

What do you do with seeds in October? Am I suppose to do a raffle and see out of 40 people which 12 get 1 seed?
Guess I cant even do that without a package and whats this, some people got products? Thats really rude. like the idea and we all get the other green party! Perhaps they should have only chosen 1,000 not 4,000 people and had a party package. This makes their company look very bad. What are you all going to do today? I guess I can post photos of us at the mall!!!!!!!

My party is off too :( No package and no way to go pick up extras (seeds or plants) either (One car and hubby is at work!) We had a really nice party planned to introduce kids to being green, but it looks like it will not happen. I've already called some of my guests last night and a few more this morning. They didn't really seemed too disappointed. We were expecting about 20 kids give or take a few. I am very disappointed and hope that HP is able to make sure it doesn't happen again.
We were going to just plant seeds in cute little pots I bought and eat "green food." (Still trying to figure out wht I'm going to do with all the extra food!) With no seeds we can't even plant! I can't expect them to drive 20+ miles just to make cookies and eat some veggies... Just wondering, for those of us having to cancel, how much has it cost you out of pocket?
We spent about $65.00, and most of it will be spoiled and unusable by the time we could reschedule. The pots were .75 each (we got 20) and the rest was spent on food. Anyone else?

I received my envelope on Thursday, with seed "packets" and coupons. I also had requested a Healthy Living Healthy Child Party Kit, which arrived on Friday, so fortunately I have tons of other freebies to give to my 15 or so guests. I did notify them along the way that the House Party kit was not the usual, but they were still welcome to come enjoy a Green-themed evening. We will enjoy food and wine and sharing tips.

ok....first off its not a box. Its an envelope with a few seeds and some Brita water purifier coupons. Quite a disappointment. Ive hosted 2 other parties and the packages were awesome. I agree with other people who said there should have at least been coupons for the host to get at least one if not more products for guests to see, touch and try out at the party. Quite a let down BHG
