Here's a follow-up to my earlier post - I got to do an interview with ABC news in SLC, UT. Here is the link to watch it online (you need to copy and paste it into your browser): http://www.abc4.com/content/about_4/links_numbers/story/FREE-FRIDAYS-Some-cool-stuff-and-its-all-free/ksu-okeTG0ijlkQdRtqPkg.cspx - There is a short article on the left and the news clip is on the right.

I ordered online and it was super easy. Delivery was fast too. Unfortunately, we weren't crazy about the BreadBowl Pastas. The pizza was good though.

I ordered online, and it was really convenient. I love the pizza tracker feature. The delivery came very quickly and everything was excellent.

My local Domino's called me this afternoon (Friday). They said they knew I was hosting a Domino's Savory Surprises House Party. Boy, that surprised the heck out of me! I had read that we should inform them that we're hosting a party when we place our order and thus I was prepared to do so, but they beat me to the punch. I was actually going to place my order on-line this evening, but since they were nice enough to telephone me this afternoon, I went ahead and placed my order on the spot. I've got all five BreadBowl Pastas ordered, a couple of sandwiches, and a couple of pizzas. My local Domino's was kind enough to add four liter bottles of soda pop to my order -- and for free, too. What a pleasant surprise! So, it appears that I'm all set for my party tomorrow. I've got the "Evan Almighty" DVD in a handy place and am looking forward to watching it with my guests.

For those of you who have to pick up the pizzas yourself or who have had trouble ordering them for delivery, my heart goes out to you. I am fortunate to live in a major metropolitan area and thus haven't experienced what you're experiencing. I'm glad to hear, though, that you're not going to let things stand in your way. I'm sure your parties this weekend will be fun affairs!

our local domino's closed we used to have 2 within 10 minutes of us, so we are doing carryout and will have to drive a bit to get our food, but they sound yummy. I'm sure if my guests like them they will be willing to order from Dominos sometimes too, even if they have to drive a bit.

Ok, just called the closest location and yes, they do deliver to the hotel, but no one had any idea what I was talking about with the party. So, I will call back tomorrow during the day and speak to the general manager there.

I am disappointed, there are no locations that deliver to the hotel I will be holding the party at. That means I will have to leave my guests to go and get the food. I am going to call the closest Domino's tomorrow and see if the manager can make an exception since this is a promo party for their company. Hopefully they will.

I like the idea of ordering all five BreadBowl Pasta dishes. I'm going to do that. That way my guests can get a taste of each flavor and determine which one they like the best. I'm just hopeful that they'll leave a little for me to sample.

*Update* Before I clicked on "Submit" for this comment, I decided to go to the Domino's website. I found the following item listed along with the five BreadBowl Pasta choices:

- - - - -
Build your Own Pasta:
Choose a sauce (Marinara, Alfredo or Three Cheese) and up to 3 ingredients from more than a dozen meat or vegetable toppings. Your penne pasta and ingredients are tossed and baked to perfection.
- - - - -

I may give that a try. It could be a fun addition to the party.

This morning I emailed our local abc news station to tell them about our party. They do a feature each week called "Free Friday" and I thought HP would be perfect for it. I just got a call from the reporter and she LOVED the idea and is so excited to learn more. Since they are running the feature before our actual party we are going to meet at our Domino's Thursday to do the filming and it will be on the news on Friday. Woohoo! I'm so happy and nervous all at the same time!

Maybe I missed it but how many people do you think 1 bowl would feed?
