What a great party, we had so much fun. We had a "swap" for 5 families that were suggested by my party attenders.
We had 5 of the guest who knew of families in need and it could not have worked better. Only the guest with the families knew who they were but had sizes for everyone.
It was great! We did not have one peice of clothing left. I had given the size list to my guests.
They were so generous, I could not believe it.
They all loved the Burt Bee's items. We had all kinds of finger food and appitizers. Everyone brought clothes and food.
This is was great. We all washed our Swap clothes with the samples provided.
I joking said in the invite that the sample of the cleaning wipe was to help the host clean her house.
6 of our friend brought the wipes and starting wiping down my kitchen after we put the food away.
This was fun and helpful for people. Thanks to all to helped.

Mine went great--our extras are going to a church playgroup meeting so those moms can benefit as well. We had banana splits and those were yummy too.

Yippee! What a great swap! Everyone loved all the samples and coupons. My friend has a son with multiple allergies, so she is very picky about detergent. She used her Green Works sample and said that he had no problems with it! Thanks Green Works! We were able to share some great new-to-you clothes, and the leftovers will be sent to a mission in Honduras! It was a lot of fun!

Had a great time, I think in all it ended quite a success since we had enough sizes out that everyone found something they could use . I had everyone write down a "green" tip and the last two I drew out to read won the water bottles.

We got hit by a rainstorm, heavy downpours, and the roads were flooded. Many of the guests canceled because of the weather, but the three of us who were here did quite a bit of organizing the clothes that we had and prepared "packages" for the others who are planning to bring their stuff by another day, then they will have stuff to go through and bring home with them along with their goody bag. We now have an excuse for having another gathering in the near future to complete the swap!

It was a 4 day weekend and a BSU game, so lots of people backed out! But we still had 10 adults plus 7 kids! Not a spectacular turnout, but still a great party! Everyone loved the samples and the "going green" suggestions! A good party!!! :-)

My party started at 2 today. Not a lot of people were able to come but we had a blast anyway. I washed a load of towels during the party and it made the house smell so great! I brought some of my other GreenWorks products for my guest to see as well. I think I converted a few and convinced some of my friends to start recycling in their own homes:) What a productive part!

The GreenWorks party was a hit! With the poor economy, everyone was so thrilled to swap clothes! They especially loved how great the clothes smelled! Thanks so much for a wonderful opportunity!

Well I had my party today at 2pm. It was a bust noone showed up and I will not have another. The people that told me they would come had other plans today; so here I sit alone with my daughter, all the wonderful samples, and the snacks that we prepared. I am hopeful that everyone else has or had a wonderful party and now I know that I will never be able to host another party.

Clorox still sells chlorine bleach because I don't care how green you are chlorine bleach is still the only thing that actually sterilizes. Learned this through 2 years of cloth diapering. Which is why I may switch to the greenworks laundry detergent but will continue to use Clorox bleach on my kitchen towels that come into contact with raw poultry or pork, wipe out sinks, etc. Ditto the original Clorox wipes on the toilet, kitchen counters, etc. But I am loving having these green alternatives for daily life so that 95% of the time I can be more environmentally friendly.

Had my party at 10 this morning. But of course it had to rain today so only three people showed up. That is fine everyone had a good time with the green products. The cloths smelled nice with the soap. Lots and lots of cloths were there the remainder of them I am taking to church tomarrow to let the other familys go thru.

Curious.... Clorox is aware of the "green" environment, produced, and selling their "green works" products. So, if they have a whole new division promoting a healthier environment, why do they still have their old "toxic" bleach chlorine based and clorox non "green" products selling on the store shelves?

The Green Works word search looks like a lot of fun even an invited guest's child can do if they are less than enthusiastic about clothing.

I did my party early because of scares of swine flu. Most of my friends are my children friend's parents and they have gotten sick. Therefore I decided to do the party 2 days ahead. Given that all of our kids wear about the same size and go to the same school, we really did not have the need for the swap. I asked them to bring gently worn clothes to donate to the local charity. They loved the smell of the green works detergents and the clothes smell amazingly. We had a good time discussing how much plastic can we save by using a reusable nalgene bottle instead of disposable plastic ones. My guests loved the idea of the paper with the seeds in them, and quite frankly I loved it too. I made little gift bags for them to take home with the sample products and the extra detergent. I only had 8 people attend, so I had extra product. We talked about recicling and how important is to teach our kids to take care of our land before it is too late, about fair trade, organic vs local produce, and even how to clean your house using organic products. I combined the party with a chocolate and cofee tasting, that way it was easy to talk about why is important to buy fair trade. We had a light lunch and the guests left with plenty of green ideas on their mind. I already have energy saving bulbs all over the house, so it was easy to demonstrate that. It really was a wonderful idea and a great party.

Wow can't believe all the clothes that have been dropped off already. Some people couldn't make it because of last minute things, so they dropped off items for exchange. This is like shopping with no limits on the money you spend (which is zero)!

I have some old potting pots from the summer and I loaded them up with a small baggie of potting soil and made small bags of seeds from my flowers and will give the little cluster out so people can have winter flowers indoors :)
